Damn, I just can't stay away from my notebook. I keep telling myself to abstain from logging on to the net or blogging or doing anything remotely connected to the internet. But here I am.
Sigh. Does anyone else have this disorder so that I won't feel so alone in my predicament?
Mid-terms start on Tuesday and I have yet to totally seriously study as much and as hard as I'd like myself to be doing. I've only got two papers but it's starting to unnerve me. I hate it when I get all stressed and stuff. Of all things for me to be doing, I'm actually trying to finish 'The Pilgrimage' before next Saturday so that I can start reading HBP on that day itself when it's released at all major bookstores. I feel embarrassed yet proud that I'm such a Potter-head. This article should illustrate my infatuation and slight embarrassment with the boy named Harry. I've actually pre-ordered the book at MPH at an alarming price of RM 99.90! The fifth book was only RM 89.90 last year, I think, and I was already whining about it then. This is what I have to part with for hard-cover and first-day released books. Well, technically, what my mom had to part with since my brother and I will be fighting over who gets to read it first when it reaches our hands. Mmm. Freshly printed new book smell could never smell so good. If you see a person with a brown paper bag over the head sneakily entering the 1Utama MPH store on July 16th, that's probably me disguising myself to retrieve the long awaited book.
As noted in the sidebar of movies to watch, you can plainly see that H2G2 has been crossed out. Watched it yesterday. Not the best movie out there but worth the watch if you're curious like me to know what the big fuss is about Douglas Adams' book turned movie adaptation. I have yet to read it though I do have it. And probably after read it I'll still maintain my stand on that books are better left alone than be tampered with and turned into movies for the sake of those less literary inclined ones with less patience to read a good book than a goblin in Middle Earth. Though some would beg to differ and outrightly detest a book adaptation as much as Suanie. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for being comical at some parts, their satirical British wit and outrageous Zaphod. Gotta love the guy. Hopefully I can catch WOW and Bats next weekend or at least after midterms.
Nothing much going on except for the above. Be prepared for a lengthy and spoiler filled post on HBP next week. Unless you're a non-HP fan then don't bother reading it.
